The Ice Road

Three days on the Icefields Parkway between Lake Louise and the Columbia Icefield, following the water from the glacier down. Glacial flour is what turns the rivers and lakes that unreal turquoise.
Mirror Hours

Alpine lakes in the twenty minutes when the wind drops and the range doubles. Mostly before six in the morning, mostly from a cold rock at the edge of the water.
The Long Light

One ridge above Banff, worked from late afternoon into full dark, plus the long-lens frames where a single lit peak was the whole subject. The last three are exposures of seven, fifteen and thirty seconds.
Close to the Ground

Foxes in an aspen grove at ISO 11400, three birds that held still long enough, and one ground squirrel that did not. Nine frames from four encounters.
The Human Scale
