About
Still finding my voice
I’m Aditya Shankar. I graduated from UNC in 2025, and telling stories is what I care about most.
Photography is how I’ve started telling them. I’m early in it, and a lot of these pictures are me working out what my voice sounds like.
In the Canadian Rockies I photographed the Athabasca Glacier, Moraine Lake and Lake Louise, and looked out over Banff from the top of Sulphur Mountain. The Colorado pictures are from places like Great Sand Dunes and Mesa Verde, where the cliff dwellings sit under a sandstone overhang. Near Maroon Lake, two young foxes looked straight at the camera from the long grass.
I also volunteered as a photographer at Beautiful Together Animal Sanctuary in Chapel Hill. The portraits I took there were for the online profiles of rescued cats and dogs. See the Beautiful Together series.
I’m going to keep doing this everywhere I go. If you want to ask about a photograph, send me an email.
